I created Janique Nicole Cosmetics to inspire women to be confident in who they are at whatever phase of life they are in. I wanted women to find their power, their voice, their purpose and understand that people are rooting for them, even if they feel as though they are all alone. The names of our products have empowering “personalities” that were carefully chosen to signify the value and strength that lies within us all.

 

I started working at an early age all throughout high school, where I grew up on the Southside of Chicago. At just 14, my first job was washing the mirrors and windows of the local corner salon. At 16, I ventured out and grew my experience working in a large department store and two other stores during my high school years. By the time I graduated high school, I emerged as a bold, courageous, determined woman ready to take on the world. It wasn’t until college, that the beauty business magically found me! To make extra money, I gave my friends manicures and found joy in making women feel good. After college, I then sold Mary Kay Cosmetics as a side gig. It was then that I discovered the power of cosmetics and their ability to make women feel good. Even if a woman feels down and out, a simple colorful lipstick or swipe of nail polish can make her feel transformed!

 

While cosmetics can enhance your looks on the outside, I feel that it is important for women to remember that they are already naturally beautiful. Every woman is unique in her own way. We must embrace who we are and love ourselves unconditionally despite what we've been through. Most often, it is the inner beauty that comes from challenges that gives a woman lasting beauty.
